Successful registrations for the Fred.Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike, an event included in the UCI calendar in the S2 category. In its IX edition, scheduled between May 16th and 19th, it has closed registrations in the All Stages, as well as doubled the number of participants compared to last year in this category, with a total of 200 cyclists in 2024 compared to the 95 who competed in 2023.

Cyclists registered to compete in All Stages will start the race on Thursday, May 16th, covering a total of 167.9 kilometers, with the last stage scheduled for Sunday, May 19th. In addition, the Stage 1, with a distance of 31 kilometers starting and ending in Cercados de Araña and crossing the Chira Dam area, has completed the available registration quota.

Carlos González, Fred.Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike director, highlighted the success in registrations for this edition. “Last year, 95 cyclists participated in the four stages, and this year there are already more than twice as many participants registered, which shows that this event, scoring on the UCI circuit, is establishing itself in the cycling calendar”, he commented.

On the other hand, stages 2, 3, and 4 are also close to closing registrations, with an average occupancy of around 90%. Registrations remain open through the link https://www.transgrancanariabike.com/, where residents of the Canary Islands are offered a 30% discount.
