The Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike once again offers a 30% discount on registration for Canary Islands residents

The Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike opens its registration period on Tuesday, November 7, for the edition that will take place from May 16 to May 19, 2024. The event’s organization, included for the second consecutive year in the UCI (International Cycling Union) calendar, is offering a 48-hour ‘flash’ promotion with significant discounts on registration fees, as well as a 30% discount for participants who can prove their residency in the Canary Islands. Registrations will be available starting this Tuesday, from 12:00 noon, on the official website www.transgrancanariabike.com. The 48-hour promotion will end on Thursday, November 9, at 12:00 noon.

The eighth edition of the MTB race not only keeps its UCI status but also maintains its competition format with four open stages, allowing participants to register for any of the days. The changes in the routes established by the organization will make the 2024 Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike a more accessible and attractive race for all types of riders. Furthermore, the race will be centralized in the southern area of Gran Canaria, making it easier for participants to manage the logistics for each of the races.

The first stage will cover 31 kilometers and will take place in Chira, starting and finishing at the Plaza de Cercados de Araña. The second day will feature a 23.5-kilometer time trial with the start in Parque Sur (Maspalomas) and the finish in Ayagaures. For the third stage, covering 45.6 kilometers, participants will move to Cañón del Águila (starting and finishing point) in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The fourth and final stage will have its starting and finishing line in Parque Sur, with a 69.7-kilometer route. The official website already has the tracks and special discount rates available for the 2024 edition.

The Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike is sponsored by Fred. Olsen Express and supported by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria through the institutions Gran Canaria Tourism Board and Gran Canaria European Sports Island, Maspalomas Costa Canaria, and the Town of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. Additionally, the race has the collaboration of the companies Gobik, Emicela, Lorenzo González Automoción, Gofio La Piña, Provital, Inerza, and Vivac Aventura.
