Registration will be available from Tuesday, November 5, through the event’s official website

The Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike also provides registration discounts for Canarian residents

The Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike opens its registrations next Tuesday, November 5, and does so by launching a 24-hour ‘flash’ offer with significant discounts on the registration price. The race, which is once again included in the UCI (International Cycling Union) calendar, will celebrate its tenth edition from May 15 to 18, 2025. Registrations will be available from 12:00 noon, on the official website www.transgrancanariabike.com. The 24-hour ‘flash’ promotion will end on Wednesday, November 6, at 12:00 noon.

The MTB race will once again offer a four-stage open event, allowing participants to register for any of the days. The biggest change for 2025 is the addition of an XCO (Olympic Cross Country) circuit in one of its stages. A modality where cyclists must complete six laps of the new 5.5-kilometre circuit (33 kilometres in total). This stage will take place on Saturday, May 17, and will offer more excitement and another alternative within this exciting four-day competition in Gran Canaria.

This is how the competition format is set up for 2025:

Stage 1 | Tirajana: Thursday, May 15 | 45.6 km and 740m of positive elevation.

Stage 2 | Time trial: Friday, May 16 | 23.5 km and 608m of positive elevation.

Stage 3 | XCO circuit: Saturday, May 17 | 33 km (6 laps of a 5.5-km circuit) and 700m of positive elevation.

Stage 4 | Maspalomas: Sunday, May 18 | 69.7 km and 1,261m of positive elevation.

This new format will mean that the event will be centralised entirely in the south of Gran Canaria, facilitating the logistics of the participants in order to face each of the races. The tracks and rates with special discounts for the 2025 edition are already available for download on the official website.

The Fred.Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike, organized by Arista Eventos, is sponsored by Fred. Olsen Express. It also receives support from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through the institutions Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Instituto Insular de Deportes, as well as from the Government of the Canary Islands with Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida. The Ayuntamiento de San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Maspalomas Costa Canaria also provide their backing. Additionally, the race is supported by 226ERS, Gobik, Emicela, Pepsi, Aguas de Teror, Lorenzo González Automoción, Gofio La Piña, Sonocom, Provital, and Inetel.
