The mountain bike race, to be held between May 14 and 17, 2026, will feature four timed stages through the east and south of the Island. The event debuts the new Half modality, with four days of competition and a distance of one hundred kilometers. Registration features a flash offer during the first 24 hours with significant discounts.

The Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike mountain bike race opened registration this Monday for the next edition, which will be held between May 14 and 17, 2026. The event, which for the fourth consecutive year is a point-scoring race for the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), premieres the Half modality with four stages and a distance of 100 kilometers. Registration, which can be completed on the website www.transgrancanariabike.com, will have a flash offer during the first 24 hours, ending this Tuesday at 12:00 PM.

The All Stages modality will once again be the flagship event of this Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike with 4 stages, 160 kilometers, and more than 3,500 meters of positive elevation gain. Participants will start the competition on Thursday, May 14, with a 21-kilometer circular circuit and 841 meters of positive elevation gain in the surroundings of Lomo Magullo (Telde), passing through the Rosiana volcanic area.

The second stage, which will take place on Friday afternoon, May 15, will be a 23.5-kilometer time trial with 608 meters of positive elevation gain, starting from Parque Sur in Maspalomas and finishing in the Ayagaures neighborhood. On Saturday, the race will move to the Águila Canyon for the third stage (46.1 km), passing through Lomo del Moral, Fortaleza de Ansite, and La Sorrueda before returning to the Águila Canyon, where the finish line will also be located.

The fourth and final stage, to be held on Sunday, May 17, will depart from Parque Sur in Maspalomas toward Ayagaures before returning to Parque Sur and heading into the Cuarterías area between Maspalomas and Arguineguín. This day will feature 69.8 kilometers and 1,665 meters of positive elevation gain.

New Half Modality The new Half modality also consists of four stages, sharing the first two with the All Stages. The third will consist of 24.2 kilometers and 164 meters of positive elevation gain, starting at La Fortaleza de Ansite and finishing at the Águila Canyon. The fourth stage will have its start and finish at Parque Sur in Maspalomas, with a route running through the Cuarterías with a distance of 34.7 kilometers and 820 meters of positive elevation gain.

Once again, the Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike opens registration so that cyclists can sign up for any of the four stages of the All Stages modality separately, as well as the possibility of doing so in three-day (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and two-day (Saturday and Sunday) packages.

Likewise, e-bikes will have their space on Sunday with the 69.8 km flagship stage. Models must be strictly stock with a pedal-assist system, a maximum power of 250w, and a power limiter that cuts off at 25 kilometers per hour.

UCI Scoring The Fred. Olsen Express Transgrancanaria Bike will be, for the fourth consecutive year, a point-scoring event for the UCI within the S2 category for cross-country marathon stages. This means that the top 25 finishers will obtain UCI points that provide access to the main world cycling competitions, with 80 points for the winners of the men’s and women’s classifications.

Registration opened this Monday, December 22, on the website www.transgrancanariabike.com with a flash offer during the first 24 hours that ends this Tuesday at 12:00 PM. In addition, participants residing in the Archipelago will have a special price. The organization also offers the possibility of booking an accommodation pack at a reduced price with the Dunas Hotels & Resorts chain, a sponsor of the race.
