SOSTENIBILIDAD
Good environmental practices: Cycling with a conscience
In each edition of the Transgrancanaria Bike we reaffirm our commitment to nature and the landscape that welcomes us. The trails on which we compete are not only part of the route, they are part of our sporting home: a unique environment that we must protect. Caring for these trails and the habitat that surrounds them is as important as reaching the finish line. We know that the passion for sport can coexist with respect for the environment, and that’s why we invite you to join us in these good practices during the event.
Avoid plastic waste
Bring your own reusable bottle, cup or canteen. Help us to reduce single-use packaging.
Help with the cleanliness of the route
Collect your waste and, if you find any along the way, don’t hesitate to contribute. Together we can leave the route better than we found it.
Respect the environment
Do not leave the marked trails, avoid damaging the vegetation and do not disturb the animals. Taking care of the environment is part of the challenge.
Recycled trophies and medals
We use recycled materials for our rewards. The value is in your effort, not in the environmental impact.
Pre-existing routes
The route takes advantage of already established paths to minimise disturbance to the natural environment.
Reusable advertising
All promotional material is designed to be reused in future editions, reducing unnecessary waste.
Paperless information
The runner’s bag is 100% digital. All information will be available from your mobile phone or device.
Waste recycling
We have recycling points for paper, plastics, glass and organic waste. Use them correctly.
Littering has consequences
Penalties will be applied to those who do not respect these rules. Caring for the environment is also part of fair play.
Selective bins
There will be clearly marked bins throughout the event to facilitate correct waste management.
