The II edition of the race, will be celebrated on the 27th and 28th of May and already has more than 300 people registered

The next 27th and 28th of May, the organisation of Transgrancaria Bike will fire the starting gun of the second edition of the race that already has more than 300 people registered in the total of its five distances: The Two Stages Plus (185 km), the Two Stages (120km), the Rock&Roll (115km), the Intense (80km) and the Ansite (48.5km). Amongst the registered, we have participants from different nationalities like Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal and Slovakia.

The main race (the Two Stages Plus) has already sold out its bib numbers. However, the rest of the races have their registration open. Currently, the most popular distance is the Intense with 150 participants in an 80km race which has its start at El Garañon and the finish line in Arinaga, going through Tunte, la Fortaleza de Ansite and Agüimes.

The number of participants in this edition has exceeded the number of the first one, where 200 runners enjoyed at first notice the premiere of Transgrancanaria Bike, where Ibon Zugasti come out as the absolute winner of the Two Stages Plus, while Eduardo González and María Calleja reach the triumph in the Two Stages distance.

Bikers will enjoy the unique landscapes of Gran Canaria

The race will allow to the bikers the possibility to going through the unique landscapes of the island of Gran Canaria like the La Aldea’s ravine, the Cortijo de Tirma, Tamadaba, Artenara, Guardaya, Riscos de Chapín, Los Moriscos, Cruz de Tejeda, Garañón, Ayacata, Morro Santiago, Lomo de La Palma, Morro de Hierba Huerto, Presa de Chira, Degollada de La Mazanilla, Tunte, Los Sitios, La Sorrueda, La Fortaleza, Roque Aguayro, Playa de Vargas and Arinaga.
